Terms of Service

Effective date: 9 September 2026 · Version 1.0 · Operated by The BrightFamily Labs Pte. Ltd., Singapore (“TeenCare”, “we”, “us”)
In plain English. TeenCare is behavioural mentoring for teenagers and daily guidance for parents. It is not therapy, not medical treatment and not an emergency service. The parent is our customer. Filling in the “Tell us about your teen” form on our website is a request for a call, not a purchase — it creates no contract. We then call or WhatsApp you for a free 15-minute conversation with our parent team; nothing is charged for that call. If you decide to go ahead, we confirm your TeenCare Plan and its exact price in writing on WhatsApp or email before sending you a payment link, and the contract is formed only when you pay that link. The teen joins mentor consultations only if the parent chooses, and the teen’s own private sessions start later, under the parent’s verified consent. What the teen says to their mentor stays private, with one safety exception. There is no auto-renewal — a plan simply lapses if a renewal link is not paid.

1. Parties and eligibility

These Terms are a contract between The BrightFamily Labs Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore (UEN 202532951Z, registered office 20A Tanjong Pagar Road, Singapore 088443; address for service in India C8 Chirag Enclave, Greater Kailash Part 1, New Delhi 110048, India) (“TeenCare”, “we”) and you, the Parent User. You must be 18 or older and the parent or lawful guardian of the teenager (the “Child User”) for whom you book the Service. A Child User may use the Student App only under an account created, verified and consented to by you in accordance with our Privacy Policy. A user aged 18 or 19 may accept these Terms and use the Service on their own behalf.

2. Nature and scope of the Service — the non-medical clause

TeenCare provides behavioural mentoring for teenagers and educational content for parents. TeenCare is not a medical, psychological, psychiatric or counselling service. Our mentors are trained behavioural mentors. They are not registered medical practitioners, clinical psychologists or mental-health professionals within the meaning of the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017, unless a mentor’s profile expressly states an individual professional registration. Nothing in the Service constitutes diagnosis, treatment, therapy or medical advice, and the Service is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

If a mentor believes the Child User may benefit from clinical support, they will inform you. The decision to seek such care, and responsibility for the Child User’s health and welfare, rests with you.

3. The Discovery Call and the TeenCare Plan

The website form is a request for a call, not a contract. Submitting the “Tell us about your teen” form on TeenCare.in — your name, mobile number, whether it is on WhatsApp, your child’s age, and your own answers about the changes you have noticed, how conversations go, what you have tried and what you want to be different — only asks us to contact you. It does not purchase anything and creates no obligation on either side. Based on your form, we call or message you on WhatsApp for a free 15-minute Discovery Call with our parent team, available 10:00–20:00 IST. Nothing is charged for the Discovery Call.

If, after the Discovery Call, you want to go ahead, we confirm your plan and its exact price with you in writing on WhatsApp or email before sending you a payment link, and the contract between you and TeenCare for the TeenCare Plan is formed only when you pay that link. TeenCare Plans start from ₹1,999 per month, inclusive of all applicable taxes, and are also available as a quarterly (3-month) plan, ordinarily priced at three times your confirmed monthly rate unless we agree a different price with you in writing on WhatsApp or email. Plans are paid in advance for the period you buy.

Each month of a TeenCare Plan includes: (a) access to the Parent App, including daily scripts, micro-learning videos and the Developmental Progress Map as it builds; and (b) one mentor video consultation with the Parent User, which the Child User may join only if the Parent User chooses. Any additional mentor consultations, and any session for the Child User on the Student App, are optional extras, quoted and agreed with you in writing before purchase, and require completion of verifiable parental consent under Section 3 of the Privacy Policy before any Child User data is processed.

4. Confidentiality and the safety exception

Session content between the Child User and their mentor is confidential and will not be disclosed to you. You receive (a) the AI-synthesised Developmental Progress Map, if you have consented to it, and (b) the mentor’s parent briefing, which addresses how to support the Child User at home without disclosing the specifics of what the Child User said. By accepting these Terms you acknowledge and agree to this rule.

The exceptions are: (i) where the mentor reasonably believes the Child User or another person is at risk of serious harm, in which case we will contact you immediately; and (ii) where disclosure is required by law or a court order. The Child User is told of this rule and its exceptions at onboarding.

5. Mentors

Every mentor has completed TeenCare’s US-designed behavioural mentoring curriculum, supervised practice hours and ongoing case review, has passed identity and background verification, and is bound by our Mentor Code of Conduct and confidentiality undertakings. We may reassign a mentor for availability, safety or quality reasons, and you may request a different mentor at any time.

6. Your obligations

7. Emergencies

TeenCare is not an emergency or crisis service and does not monitor sessions or messages in real time outside scheduled sessions. If the Child User or anyone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services on 112 or the national Tele-MANAS helpline on 14416.

8. Payment, cancellation and refunds

Once your plan price is confirmed in writing, payment is taken in advance by UPI or card through a Stripe payment link sent to you on WhatsApp or email; card payments are billed by our Singapore company as an international transaction. There is no auto-debit or auto-renewal: before your plan period ends we send you a renewal link, and if it is not paid the plan simply lapses. Cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms are set out in our Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Intellectual property and licence

All scripts, videos, the Developmental Progress Map format, the Insight Engine and the TeenCare name and marks are owned by TeenCare or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Parent App and Student App for the Child User named on your account. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or share the content or the apps.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, TeenCare’s total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in that period. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the Parent App. We may suspend or terminate the Service for breach of these Terms or where continuing would be unsafe for the Child User, a mentor or others; in that case we refund any complete unused month(s) of your prepaid plan on a pro-rata basis unless the termination results from your fraud or abuse.

12. Grievances and disputes

Complaints go first to our Grievance Officer (details in the footer and on our Grievance Redressal page); we acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within one month. Nothing in these Terms limits your right to approach a Consumer Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. These Terms are governed by the laws of India and, subject to the foregoing, the courts at New Delhi, India have jurisdiction. TeenCare is an e-commerce entity offering services to consumers in India and complies with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 accordingly.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Changes that materially affect the Child User’s data or the confidentiality rule require your fresh consent before they apply to you. Continued use after other changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
